Huawei 5G CPE PRO 2
Huawei 5G CPE PRO 2
Hello, I am looking for a router for a rural area in Italy with moderate network coverage. I want to do HO and therefore need a relatively good connection (video conferencing, Citrix XEN Desktop etc. should work...). Either with Swisscom SIM or Vodafone. Based on the test reports, I am wavering between the "Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2" and "Zyxel NR5101". What can you recommend? Which external antenna is suitable? Thank you for your tips!
Hello
I have several devices in different locations all with good reception values my recommendation: test locally which roaming partner offers the best speed then check which band this GSM provider has locally (*3001#12345#*) then call then serve. Cell info
If the local reception is not so good, the Zyxel is better equipped, it has antenna connectors (but there are also companies in Austria that convert the HUAWEI CPE with antenna connectors).
Based on the band result, mount a small suitable outdoor antenna (or 4G 4G+ 5G antennas) with a flat band window feed-through and connect it to the HUAWEI equipped with antenna connectors or directly to the Zyxel.
I have installed such a system with the converted HUAWEI in the farthest Valais and it works very well even with multitasking HO.
Greetings Christian
Hi, the CPEPro 2 does not have an external antenna connection, unlike the previous model
Good morning I have been using the Huawei for three years in a remote area, in a valley in the Ticino canton, with success.I receive the 5G signal which is enough to network the whole house with wifi and ethernet cable. One would have to do tests with a mobile phone is a 5G card from one phone company and the other to see the quality of the signal that arrives.

That would be the better option.
