Hello all. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S340-15IIL. This has 2x a USB 3.0 Type-A and 1x a USB 3.0 Type-C port. Bought the HP Elitedisplay S14, but unfortunately I get no signal. I tried it with the USB-C cable and also with a USB-A to USB-C cable. Does anyone know why and is there a possible solution?
Hello,
To use the EliteDisplay S14, your laptop must have either a USB-C port that supports the DisplayPort(TM) or ThunderBolt(TM) specification. A "normal" USB-C port is unfortunately not sufficient. The idea with the adapter is good - but unfortunately it is not supported at all.
If you find the DisplayPort symbol (looks like a big D) or the ThunderBolt symbol (looks like a lightning bolt) next to the USB-C port, you should get a signal...
On the pictures of your IdeaPad S340-15IIL that I could find online, I could only see the SS - Super Speed symbol.
I hope this has helped you.
PS: I made the same mistake :-)
