Yes, has a predecessor, unfortunately only with DAB radio, no DAB+ So no DAB radio reception possible (one of those nice misplanning by a federal office). But it looks the same. In the meantime, the remote control has also changed, as has the menu navigation. Overall, however, an excellent device with very good sound.

Addendum: For a time, Ruark marketed the audio systems under the brand name "Vita Audio". They did not want to mix with the original loudspeaker business. In 2012, they stopped using vita audio and have since been selling the devices under the brand "ruarkaudio".

Important: All R4 versions can do DAB+. I have an R4 (MK1) and an R4i (MK2) and both receive the popular Swiss radio stations without problems.
