Question about Sangean Dpr-39
Does the radio have a built-in loudspeaker? The manual says that the loudspeaker is automatically switched off when headphones are connected, but a comment mentions that there is no loudspeaker. What is correct?

As already mentioned, the DPR-39 doesn't come with a loudspeaker. In this size range, the Sony XDR-P1, for example, would have both headphones and loudspeaker. Note that the DPR-39 comes with headphones, not the Sony XDR-P1. On the other hand, the DPR-39 has the great advantage of using 2 AA batteries, which can be either alkaline or rechargeable. The device has no loudspeaker, only a headphone output. It works well.
