Can the headset be used wirelessly with the PS Portal, or do you need a cable for this? Does the headset even have a 3.5mm jack?

Yes, the Pulse Elite can be connected to the portal via Playstation Link. Unfortunately, the headset does not have a jack plug, but a USB receiver for other devices.
