I had the same problem, discarded the box. I would not buy this box again.

I had no problems with any of my devices (PC, laptop, ...), so I suspect the hub is defective. And as far as I know, it cannot charge itself because it is not a battery pack, but only a distributor.

Well, I can only tell you that it works fine on my old and new PC.
