Tamron supplies the segment of entry-level lenses for the Nikon Z system with appealing solutions. This is no different in the case of the 150- 500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD, as it gives the photographer great creative freedom in the extreme telephoto range and good image results for little money.
... The drop in resolution is again very low, that of the contrast moderate. Stopping down almost cancels it out - but that is already f/11 in our measurement. The decisive 500mm unfortunately performs worse. At open aperture 6.7, the values in the centre of the image almost correspond to those at 275mm, but the drop in contrast and resolution at the edges is now more pronounced...

- The weight of 1,800 grams makes the use of a tripod necessary. A protective case or a quiver would be desirable for the scope of delivery.
The new Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7Di III VC VXD is a special lens for sports and nature photographers who expect extreme telephoto performance for comparatively little money. The lens is very well made and pleases with its many setting options and fast autofocus.
