The optical construction includes 25 elements in 16 groups, including several special glasses and hybrid aspherical elements to correct optical aberrations. The BBAR-G2 coating on the lenses minimizes reflections inside the lens and suppresses ghosting and lens flare, which are particularly common in backlit shots. At a focal length of 150mm, the minimum focusing distance is 0.6m, making the lens suitable for impressive close-up shots.
