The Synology DiskStation DS1817+ is a NAS with 8 drive bays, equipped with a quad-core CPU and an AES-NI hardware encryption module. With four 1GbE LAN ports, the device can be expanded with a 10GbE network card or a dual M.2 SSD adapter card to increase network bandwidth or further enhance performance through SSD caching.
