... Im Betrieb zaubert der X800M2 ein knackscharfes Bild auf den Sony KD-65AG9, da gibt es nichts zu motzen. Das Lüftergeräusch ist obendrein angenehm leise. Zu guter Letzt finden sich Netflix, YouTube und Amazon Video ebenfalls auf dem Gerät, was den Player in seiner Gesamtheit abrundet. Per Sprachbefehl steuerbar ist er jedoch nicht.

Was der aktuelle Spitzenplayer, wenn man mal von der Profi-Schiene absieht, nach wie vor vermissen lässt, sind analoge Audio-Ausgänge. Man setzt bei Sony offenbar auch hier voll auf die Streaming- und Multiroom-Schiene und damit auf kabellose Verbindungen.

Der Sony UBP-X800M2 bietet grafisch überarbeitete Menüs, Kompatibilität zu HDR10, Hybrid Log Gamma und Dolby Vision und noch etwas mehr Ruhe und Detailschärfe sowohl bei der nativen Ultra HD-BD-Wiedergabe als auch bei der Blu-ray-Präsentation. Die gediegene Optik und die hochwertige Verarbeitung sind identisch zum Vorgänger...

Sonys Blu-ray-Player UBP-X800M2 ist ein sehr einfach zu bedienender Stand-alone-Player, der nahezu alle gängigen Audio-, und Videoformate unterstützt. Schade, dass die Fernbedienung über keine beleuchteten Tasten verfügt. In Zeiten salonfähig gewordener Streamingdienste orientiert sich der Player auch aufgrund des Verkaufspreises doch auch ein stückweit an Liebhabern von CDs, DVDs und Blu-rays.
