The Sony HT-A7000 is certainly not a bargain, but it is impressive all along the line. For a one-piece system, it gets the maximum sound power out of its slim body. It places 3D effects exceptionally well in the room. Other soundbars in this category don't manage this nearly as well...
If you are prepared to pay a lot of money for optimal all-round sound for blockbuster and television enjoyment in your living room, the LG DS95QR for 1,799 euros is a really good-sounding soundbar for connection to the TV at home. It comes with an additional subwoofer and two satellite speakers...
Soundbars and soundplates are speakers that have been developed specifically for use with TVs. We were stricter in our assessment than with televisions. - Very good sound with relatively good three-dimensionality
- Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
- 8K video processing with Dolby Vision
- Subwoofer and surround boxes cost extra
- High price
Sony's new HT-A7000 soundbar flagship not only offers great sound, but also a high level of streaming functionality and expansion options. However, all this does not come cheap.
- Dolby Atmos
- automatic calibration
- Simple operation
With the HT-A7000 soundbar and the HT-A9 home cinema system, Sony brings two living room-friendly sound systems that impressively bring immersive 3D movie sound into the living room. Both systems deliver top performance in terms of sound and surround effects. Installation and operation via the on-screen menu are also child's play.
