Four XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors ensure fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus and tracking in this lightweight Sony G Master lens. The SEL70200GM2 is also excellent for shooting video, offering smooth, fast, and continuous autofocus performance with minimized focus breathing, focus shift when zooming, and axis shift when zooming for challenging images.
The combination of an XA element, two ED (extra low dispersion) elements, two Super ED elements, and a developed aspherical ED element delivers outstanding resolution and beautiful bokeh in this F2.8 telephoto lens, making it ideal for sports, wildlife, portraits, and videography. The 11-blade circular aperture creates stunning circular background bokeh effects at a wide F2.8 aperture, even in bright sunlight and backlit conditions.
