Das elegante Vivaz Pro kommt mit einer seitlich ausschiebbaren Tastatur, die die Eingabe von Texten deutlich vereinfacht. Die Bedienung des Touchscreens ist allerdings nicht sehr präzise.

Als Betriebssystem kommt Symbian S60 zum Einsatz. Gerade im Vergleich zur mächtigen Konkurrenz von Apple und Google wirkt die Oberfläche ein wenig angestaubt. Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro unterscheidet sich von Vivaz durch eine Schreibtastatur, eine 5-Megapixel-Kamera und etwas kürzere Akkulaufzeit.
…Wer mit der etwas umständlichen Bedienung leben kann, bekommt im Vivaz pro ein mächtig ausgestattetes Smartphone mit guter Videokamera, das als kompaktes Businessgerät gute Diensten leisten kann, auch wenn es optisch eher verspielt daherkommt.
Das Vivaz Pro weckt gemischte Gefühle: Einerseits sind die elegante Form, das recht gelungene Design, die angenehme Haptik sowie eine flott bedienbare Tastatur viele Gründe, es stets bei sich haben zu wollen. Auf der anderen Seite stören wir uns aber an Mängeln, die einem Neuling auf dem Smartphone-Markt verziehen werden könnten, nicht aber einem Schwergewicht wie Sony Ericsson.
