Im Vergleich mit Sony Flaggschiff Alpha 77 muss der Anwender hier auf das schnellere AF-System verzichten und auch das Gehäuse ist nicht ganz so stabil wie das der größeren Schwester. Aufgrund des deutlich geringeren Preises zeigt sich die Alpha 65 dennoch als tolle Kamera, die vor allem dank ihres sehr guten Sensors überzeugen kann.
Die Sony-Ingenieure haben ihre Hausaufgaben gemacht. Die Alpha 65 ist eine zu Ende gedachte Kamera. Sie spielt die Stärken ihrer 24 Megapixel voll aus und liefert trotz ein paar Detailschwächen eine insgesamt überzeugende Testvorstellung.
Ihre 24 Megapixel nutzt die Sony Alpha 65 für eine weit überdurchschnittliche Auflösung und einen zumindest im RAW-Format kaum wahrnehmbaren Texturverlust. Bei höheren Empfindlichkeiten könnte die Dynamik höher und das Bildrauschen der RAWs schwächer sein. Trotzdem Kauftipp Bildqualität.

Sony punktet gleich doppelt. Das kleinere SLT-Modell A65 ist der großen Schwester dicht auf den Fersen. Auch wenn die kleine mit nur 3 Kreuzsensoren Abstriche im Bezug auf das Autofokus-System machen muss, liefert sie eine außerordentliche Bildqualität. Für satte 400 Euro weniger fällt die Wahl klar auf die Sony SLT-A65.

Die A65 überzeugt mit einer für diese Kameraklasse üppige Leistung und Ausstattung. Wer auf extreme Serienbildgeschwindigkeit der A77 verzichten kann, findet in der A65 einen interessante und deutlich preiswerte Alternative, die ebenfalls sehr gut etwa für Sportaufnahmen geeignet ist.
