Our soundbar test shows that expensive does not mean good. Some high-priced models do not sound convincing or have weaknesses in handling. It's worth comparing: good soundbars can be found for less than 300 euros. New in our database in July 2023: 15 soundbars with prices between 65 and 1,500 euros.
Without a direct comparison with the (almost) in all respects superior Sennheiser Ambeo Max, the Sennheiser Ambeo Plus would have been sure of a very good test result, but the more opulent Sennheiser soundbar audibly steals the show from the new more compact variant. With the Ambeo Plus, Sennheiser is more oriented towards its direct soundbar competitors than the Ambeo Max and delivers impeccable sound...

If you are prepared to pay a lot of money for optimal all-round sound for blockbuster and television enjoyment in your living room, the LG DS95QR for 1,799 euros is a really good-sounding soundbar for connection to the TV at home. It comes with an additional subwoofer and two satellite speakers...

It's hard to believe that the AMBEO Soundbar Plus is only the second soundbar system from Sennheiser. It does far too much right for that. It's a pity that there are no optional surround satellites yet.
