... Der Touchscreen reagiert sehr präzise, insbesondere wenn der Fotograf den mitgelieferten Bedienstift verwendet. Die Menüs sind allerdings nicht immer selbsterklärend. Foto- und HD-Videoqualität lagen etwa in der Mitte des Testfelds. Kleines Manko: Die ST80 hat nur einen unwirksamen elektronischen Bildstabilisator.

Es mag zwar praktisch und komfortabel sein, Fotos direkt aus der Kamera per E-Mail zu versenden oder Online zu stellen, doch im entscheidenden Punkt versagt die Samsung ST80: Bei der Bildqualität. Hier bleibt sie deutlich hinter vielen anderen Kompaktkameras zurück. Das gleicht auch die unkomplizierte Steuerung über den Touchscreen nicht aus.
