The picture quality of the Samsung is hard to beat at a price of 550 euros: the TU8079 reproduces colours with almost official accuracy, the contrast is in the green zone beyond 5000:1, and the brightness of a good 300 candela per square metre is appropriate for the price range. Samsung's app selection is top-notch, including Apple TV and Sky Ticket in addition to the usual streaming providers...
