Not a NAS anymore !! .. just a very limited gadget which is accessed by a required Windows application !!.
Not a NAS anymore ! You have to use a Windows application to access the storage !!
No IP configurations, no backups, etc.. Even WD Applications are not compatible with this thing !!

Do not buy. It's not useful as a NAS. It's too expensive as photo storage!!!
Attention, this is not a real NAS. It stores data, but cannot share data with different users on the LAN, let alone define permissions. The thing is simply only used to save photos from the mobile phone on the storage. I would never buy it again. Absolutely unusable! The instructions are absolutely bad. It takes some time to find out what the thing can do.... unfortunately almost nothing. My personal tip: Never buy it!

The device has not yet been able to prove its functionality to me.
extreme installation problems under Windows10, which I would not have expected, but also no instructions included and online support for this product never available so far (problem of the WD website?!?).
If the WD software (various WD apps installable under Windows10) doesn't recognise my WD Cloud integrated in the network via LAN cable, I can't use the functionality at all and it acts purely as an external HD (which you can also get cheaper).
Pretty disappointed with this product at the moment.Pro

Don't do this to yourself!
If you like spending dozens of hours in support forums, buy this thing. But don't worry, even there you will eventually only read frustrated "give it up" messages. It's just a poorly designed product. Doesn't even work as a backup machine. Don't do this to yourself.

Is quite slow, data speed is miserable.

You have to familiarise yourself with the NAS so that you can use it properly.
