Whereby approx. 12 seconds are used for booting.

Unbelievable speed, hardly started up, every application can be started immediately and almost without delay. I will never use an HDD as a system disk again.

This SSD from Samsung is simply a great product. I've been using it for a while now and I have to say I'm impressed, no performance drops or anything else, always full performance and no noise, no comparison to a normal hard drive. The included software from Samsung is also great, very good for performance control, firmware update, cloning or resetting. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have an old PC, it's a real enrichment for any system! And the price... it's just an SSD and a real high-end product.

Changed the BIOS to AHCI, installed Win7 and everything is running without problems so far (2 days). I also find the Samsung software very practical, in which you can make all the additional Win7 settings (SearchIndex, etc.) at the touch of a button.

I installed it in a thinkpad x220. Only a few SSDs with Sata3 are 7mm thin and fit in there. Samsung also offers a few goodies that you won't find elsewhere:

-norton ghost to clone the SSD
-samsung magic thingy to optimise performance & lifetime! And it seems to be not only a marketing gag, in my opinion...

I have also been using this SSD for a week in a very powerful PC. Windows boots in a few seconds! (Without Bios) You don't even see the welcome screen for a moment. All games and programs are installed in a few minutes. (From SDD, not from DVD) And yes, finally I have in the Windows performance index everywhere 7.9 Best SDD I have ever used, 5 stars. Only the price bites.
