Polar Verity Sense
I chose the Verity Sense because with my Polar H10 belt, I sometimes get skin marks on long rides.
On this point, the Verity Sense is very comfortable to wear and doesn't bother at all.
But unfortunately the accuracy isn't great. I compared the results of a run with the Verity Sense and the Polar H10 at the same time, on a simple outing with very little variation in pace. I had the same FCM (average heart rate), which is 'good', but the Verity Sense had much more pronounced jagged values than the H10. The result was a difference of more than 5% in the calculation of time spent in zones (Verity Sense gave me 8% in zone 5, whereas in real life the H10 only gave me 2%).
Of course, I'm aware that we'll never be able to achieve the same perfection as with the H10, which is an ECG - and a reference in the field - as with an optical sensor. Nevertheless, it was claimed to be very accurate due to the positioning of the cuff on the upper arm, an area with more blood flow (than the wrist), but in the end it seems to be very comparable to the results of my Polar watch. So the sensor is virtually useless for my purposes.
In stand-alone mode (boxing?), why not, but for running, you might as well stick with your watch for single outings (or an H10 for 'split'/reactive outings).
I was thinking of using it for swimming, without the watch, but in that case I lose the ability to track the type of swim, so it's not suitable either.

The device fulfils all expectations completely, unfortunately the documentation is rather poor

I am very satisfied with the measurement and response time.

Compared to a chest pulse belt, this belt worn on the upper arm is absolutely non-intrusive. No more constricting feeling around the chest. The transmission performance is brilliant, even if you are still a few metres away from the receiver.

Overall a good article, accurate and ideal for monitoring during activities

Unfortunately, the frequency ranges can only be configured in combination with other Polar products (watches), but not with this sensor. For me, this is incomprehensible and pointless. This information is not listed in the product description.

I wanted to get away from the chest strap. It now works wonderfully with the armband.
All good so far, but I'm also quite annoyed.
If you want to use the basic functions, you have to create a user account.
If you don't suffer from paranoia (like me), you can live with it.
However, the fact that no money can be made with this data is becoming increasingly difficult to believe. When I train, I now feel like 20 servers are sucking on me.

Works flawlessly in combination with my Fenix 6 and I never have any connection problems or anything like that. I always wear the sensor on my forearm, just below the elbow. The pulse values are better than those of the watch, especially in winter. My Fenix occasionally shows me values in the heart attack zone for minutes at a time, even if I can still talk without any problems. I never have that with the Polar sensor. According to the dcrainmaker review, the accuracy can definitely keep up with chest straps. However, like most optical sensors, it has a certain delay when the pulse increases quickly. This is particularly noticeable with short intervals.

I bought the device because I am not always sure how many laps I have swum.
Conclusion: It counts much worse than I do.
It would be completely OK if a lane was lost.
However, it seems that the data analysis and/or display in Polar Flow is incredibly poor.
Here are a few pictures.
Two pictures show my incredible performance of 100m in 38:10 in the web portal and in the app.
Did the sensor (probably a "gyro") not record anything more here? If so, the display could be at least the same as in the app. I have zero understanding of this.
In another picture, you can see that x75 mater was always recorded. That can't be the case if I always stopped at the same edge of the pool. My enquiry about this with the support was answered with: "Do an update, if it doesn't help do a reset, if that doesn't help learn to swim".
Of course, 24 hours after the support reply comes the satisfaction survey.
Dear friends of Polar, you can actually see that I only go swimming once a week.
You can also see that no training has been uploaded.
(I explicitly allowed you to evaluate my "data" from Polar Flow).
So how should I have tested this again already?
As a suggestion: If you're talking about 2.0, AI and machine learning, at least allow the user to see faulty data and comment on it.

Easy to wear. Connects immediately. Measures as accurately as a chest strap (Garmin HRM Pro) but cannot do as much.

Finally a heart sensor that I don't have to adjust every ten minutes and that takes my pulse immediately without having to be moistened...

I was looking for a heart rate monitor for sports that would allow me to monitor my heart rate live as precisely as possible. The device is perfect for this requirement. It's also easy to measure your heart rate by saving it and then viewing it on the Polar app.

Everything speaks in favour of the Polar Verity Sense "chest strap".
The good thing about the chunky chest straps is that you rarely have to change the battery. But this bulky thing on my chest bothers me. When I'm sweating profusely, the strap is no fun at all. When I started to get reddened skin, it was clear that I needed to change it.
Try the Polar Verity Sense arm strap. I bet your chest straps will be history. https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/polar-verity-sense-pulsgurt-35920161?supplier=406802
Tip:
o I always wear the sensor above my biceps. Nothing slips there. Very comfortable.
o You could also wear it when swimming.
o First put on the arm strap, then long-sleeved jerseys.
Have fun testing. :)
