Fast delivery. The LUMIX DMZ FT30 was an emergency solution as a second replacement for my previously functioning LUMIX DMC-FZ200, where after a few years the flash must be repaired.
For the price I am very satisfied. The application is simple and good to use for various lighting conditions. For hobby and second camera very appealing. Plus it is waterproof. But so far I could not dive to 8 meters deep. But that is probably not because of the camera =)

DO NOT BUY
The camera is not waterproof. After a pool stay you had drawn water. However, not in the battery or card compartment. That was dry as dust.
Feedback from Panasonic: Handling error
The seller told me that Panasonic does not give a discount for water damage.
Together with the legal protection insurance, however, it then worked out.
CONCLUSION:
NEVER AGAIN PANASONIC
Camera was unfortunately broken after 10 days. Can unfortunately not say much more about it because I could not use it for long.
I bought the device for my 5 year old daughter who is very careful with objects. It is said to be robust and waterproof even if we have not yet been able to experience these characteristics. The image quality seems acceptable even though the screen is a bit bad. There are only basic settings like scenes and exposure and white balance as well as focus and image area, but this is very sufficient for my daughter. I set the camera for her needs and she already uses it a lot. I would not recommend it for a child who does not show a particular interest in photography, as it is too sophisticated. For these children, I recommend a kidizoom from V-tech, for example. I chose this Lumix, because the nikon coolpix w150 was not manufactured in Switzerland anymore.

I have not tried the camera myself. Got it for Mother's Day.
As long as I kept the camera away from the water, it worked. Once at the sea, water came in. It is incomprehensible to me that Digitec recommends that I should "cuddle babies" or take walks in the woods, instead of declaring a falsely advertised product correctly. Namely as not waterproof! Because of the negative review I got the award "Lätsch".

I revise my first assessment of 27.5.2015 (still available below)
11.10.2016: The quality of the pictures was sufficient (slightly better than most current mobile phones) and as a second camera it was ok. In the meantime, the camera is defective, as the short stays on the water surface have affected it quite a bit. Already during the first outdoor use, water penetrated the camera. During the recent post-mortem, I found out that many metal parts inside the housing were totally rusty and the display is definitely dead.
Suitable as a children's camera. Absolutely unsuitable as a "waterproof" camera!
27.5.2015: The compact underwater camera is ideal for non-moving snapshots. Ideally suited as a second camera for taking photos with a tripod or for selfies. The wide-angle lens and the 4x zoom are top. The image sharpness is ok, but could be better. The pictures are suitable for printing up to A3. Posters rather not. The operation is very simple and a lot can be adjusted. The auto mode can only be used to a limited extent. The pictures are often too bright in general, but this can be adjusted well in the manual mode. In poor light, there is a lot of noise, but the long exposures of 15, 30 and 60 seconds (starry sky) make for good night pictures. The panorama programme delivers relatively miserable pictures.
The video function, from what I have seen so far, is weak. Noise from the camera and quiet sound recording. The picture is so-so. About the same as with a mobile phone.
The camera is waterproof, at least once in the bathtub, and it can also be operated under water.
