Nintendo Switch (OLED model)
After having already tested the "normal" Switch V2, I now wanted to take a look at the new OLED model.
I go here only on the innovations, which were made in comparison to the predecessor (V2).
Screen:
It's a stunner, no question about it. If you hold both devices next to each other, it's like night and day. The OLED screen is simply ultra-sharp, the colors crisp and the brightness is top. The difference in size compared to the V2 is also very noticeable.
Dock:
The station has been noticeably improved. It now also has a LAN port. If you have the option to connect the switch to the network via cable, you should do so. It does not necessarily mean that it is automatically faster, but you have the possibility to remove unnecessary devices from the WiFi network to keep it more stable. The switch is now also no longer so "tight" in the dock, so that the old problem with scratching the display is no longer so bad. In return, the screen can now be moved a bit more when it is in the dock. Small tip: Again, attach 4 small felt pads in the docking station, so that there is guaranteed no possibility that the screen is scratched by the frequent sliding in / out. The 2.- are well invested and if it is done well, you do not even see it.
In addition, the memory has also been doubled, which is certainly not bad. However, I still recommend getting a MicroSD if you get your games from the N Store. 64GB is quite nice, but as soon as you want to install a few games, you will reach the limits.
Is it worth the upgrade?
Yep... If you're absolutely hooked on the screen and you can still sell the old Switch well - You can consider switching. However, if you spend most of your time gaming at home on your TV, I don't think an upgrade is necessary.
Pro
I bought a Nintendo product for the first time and have to say that I find the Switch OLED very nice. The picture quality is very nice and vivid despite the low resolution. The battery life is also very good. I played Pokemon Sword for about 5h and was at the end with the battery from 100% to just under 50%. As a newcomer, I think the console is very nice. However, what I am amazed at are the expensive games. Games that are 2 years old still cost the full price which I have never experienced as a PC, PS player. In addition, I still have problems with the left controller that sometimes wobbles. However, I have read that this is normal. For people who want to try something new I definitely recommend it! PS. Product was not bought at Digitec.

A very successful Special Edition Switch in my opinion. It definitely attracts attention when you play with it on public transport and fits in well with a Pokémon collection. For Pokémon fans who don't yet own a Switch, an absolute buy recommendation.
Oh yes, you can't really see it in the product pictures, but Pokémon Crimson & Purple are NOT included.
