Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE
8 GB, White, 5", Single SIM, 8 Mpx, 4G
This is really a very good smartphone.
The build quality is very good and it looks smart.
The battery lasts me 2-4 days, depending on use.
The processor is not the fastest (which is not to be expected for the price), but with Windows 8.1 there are never any jerks or limitations.
The camera is top-notch and starts up very quickly (approx. 1 sec.).
The display is super sharp, although it only has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. No idea who needs more.
In terms of apps, I have everything I need:
- Facebook
- Whatsapp
- Swisscom IO
- Swisscom TV (unfortunately not yet version 2.0)
- Skype
- 20min
- Here Drive+ (Navi)
- tube cast (super Youtube replacement)
- Kindle Reader
- Leo translator
- wikipedia
- Search.ch
- Local.ch
- SBB
- Cyber Dust (Snapchat replacement)
Oh yes, and you can also use it to make phone calls ;-)

I switched from an Android (LG G2) to this Microsoft Lumia.
I like the first impression, the colours on the back are very bright and look cheerful. The cover on the back can be removed effortlessly, so you can change to another colour if needed (e.g. cyan, white, etc.).
Under the cover there is a SIM card slot (micro format) and an SD card slot (up to 128GB cards). I strongly recommend these, as in real terms only 3GB of memory is left for the user.
Typical for Microsoft, all location services are turned on by default and all data is sent to Microsoft for "product improvements", but this can be turned off. The first impression of Windows Phone 8.1, here with the Denim Update, is positive, after a few settings I already liked it very much. Apps can be easily installed from the store, so far I have been able to install all the apps that were important to me. Only the keyboard is a bit big in my opinion. During initial tests, I noticed that there are sometimes barely noticeable juddering noises. However, these do not bother me personally.
I hope that the apps for Windows Phone will be constantly improved; from my point of view, the switch was worth it.
When you buy the app, you get a "Picture +" subscription and an Office 365 licence for 1 year.
I can recommend this phone for users who don't want to spend a lot of money on a smartphone. For the money you get pretty much everything, even LTE!

For the price, a super Windows phone. I've had phones 3x as expensive, but they couldn't do 3x as much. Switching from an Android phone is very easy. I would buy again. Simple, with all the functions you need and still very cheap.

Everything is fine except for the variety of apps. Let's see if the next mobile phone has Android.
Apples are just too expensive!

I use this phone as a business device and was pleasantly surprised by the Windows operating system.
The set-up was very quick and the speed of the phone is also good.
Since I need this phone for business, the camera is not relevant but the pictures and videos
are in good quality.

A good smartphone for the price. However, the charging cable that comes with the phone does not allow you to connect it to your computer, which is essential for sharing photos, videos and music. There are no headphones either, and you can only use just under 3 of the 8GB of internal memory. Therefore, you have to buy headphones, a memory card and a micro-USB cable separately if you want to use all the possibilities that a smartphone should offer. With these additional costs, the device cost me 240 francs. You should be aware of that before you buy. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend the device.

After several IPhones and Android phones, I decided to try out a Windows Phone.
Everything runs smoothly without jerking or leaking.
Clean and tidy OS.
Expandable with SD card.
Would buy the device again at any time.

Very nice and functional smart phone for the price.
The store is enough for a person who is not very demanding in terms of applications: whatsapp, skype, NAS apps are there, games too, what more could you ask for?
Personally, I just need a good ftp client.
The battery lasts 3 days.
The screen is of very good resolution and so is the camera.
The GUI is not as nice as an Android or iOS, but it does what it should.

Clear, slightly angular case with exchangeable top shells in different colours. The workmanship is impeccable, the casing encloses the entire device tightly. Despite the exchangeable shell, nothing creaks. Unfortunately, it has become somewhat larger than its predecessor.
Let's see how the device behaves when Windows 10 is on it ...
