Logitech MX Anywhere 2

I can't quite agree with the previous speaker. I had the MX Anywhere before, and I was actually very satisfied with it. And the Anywhere 2 is not much more than a design makeover. I also can't confirm that the mouse button gives up the ghost after just a few months (at least that wasn't the case with the old mouse and the new one doesn't make a worse impression). The new Bluetooth functionality is certainly nice to have, but for me it is only moderately useful as a pure notebook mouse. Compared to its predecessor, I find the thumb rest much more comfortable. I can't explain exactly why, but stroking over a texture is somehow more pleasant than over a smooth surface. I can't say much about the warranty - I once had a warranty case with all my Logi products (not with a mouse), which was replaced on site without any problems.
Otherwise, usual Logitech quality - Plug'n'Play - as it should be.

The mouse would fully meet all the requirements if it weren't for a major shortcoming that isn't immediately apparent on the product page:
The "mouse wheel click" is missing
In front of the mouse wheel is a small button that you have to press to open new tabs, for example. The mouse is already very small and therefore very unergonomic. Now you also have to twist your finger.
I also complain about the scroll function. Sometimes the mouse keeps scrolling even though you've already finished. Personally, I wouldn't buy it again.

The mouse is extremely small. Extremely difficult to operate with large hands.

Attention Mac users!
This mouse has annoying bugs when scrolling. For example, you can't scroll through the pages in the document preview in the Finder. The problem is known in the Logitech forum, but nothing is done.
Therefore NO purchase recommendation for Mac OS users. (tested on Mac OS El Capitan, version 10.11 or newer)

I find the mouse very comfortable and very practical. Especially for the laptop because it is not so big and you can charge it via USB. The battery lasts a long time

Bluetooth SMART is necessary for the connection. Normal Bluetooth 4.0 is not sufficient. This means that it does not work with every laptop or TV.
After pairing the mouse with the USB dongle on the PC, it also works with the Smart TV (Samsung).
The on-off switch is no longer as pleasant as with the old Anywhere. The haptic feeling is also not as good.
Very light. Good to take along, although the bag is missing.

The MX Anywhere2 is a bit smaller than the M705. In general, I was a bit disappointed by the size, as I prefer an MX Performance Mouse in terms of size. I see the MX Anywhere2 more as the perfect mobile notebook mouse because, unlike the M705, it can also be used on a glass surface. For everyday use, I prefer the M705, which is also much more attractively priced.
As far as the Unifying receiver is concerned, I would like to agree with the previous speaker; Logitech has taken a step in the wrong direction here! Whereas before, with all mobile mice, you could supply the receiver in the mouse, with this mouse you will "misplace" it sooner or later.
Conclusion: for the price, the MX Anywhere2 offers too little for me to buy again. I'd rather stick with the MX Performance Mouse and the M705.

I had been using the MX Anywhere for 5 years, which was my absolute favourite mouse since 1994. The Anywhere 2 is a successful further development. I think the mouse is great and would buy it again immediately. The problem is IMHO not so much the buttons as the rubber edge, which disintegrates after a few years. I really like the new thumb rest. For me, once again the best mouse, and I have really bought many (also the PerformanceMX and T620 Touch Mouse).

Simple and handy, not too big for transport (notebook) and not too small for the PC at home. Functions rather scarce, but the most important ones are available and work flawlessly with the new and extremely easy-to-understand Logitech desktop app!

My first wireless Logitech MX Anywhere of the first generation, still with exchangeable batteries, lasted a very long time (14 years!!) until the drag & drop function increasingly caused problems and employees became a total nuisance. To replace the mouse, I needed a model that was still compatible with Windows 7 (at least via a pico receiver with a plug-in UBS connection).
The mouse I bought came in a sealed box labelled "MX Anywhere 2 for Amazon", which was a little confusing at first. It's not entirely clear what the differences are between the Amazon and non-Amazon labelled version, possibly just the packaging.
From the outset, it was not planned to use the mouse via Bluetooth, but as before via the Pico receiver plugged into the UBS connector. After plugging it in, the driver software installed itself automatically and without any problems and the mouse could be used immediately under Windows 7 without any problems. Drag & drop works as expected. So far so good. Compared to the 1st generation MX Anywhere, the Anywhere 2 looks cheaply made. While the Anywhere 1 had a solid and neat feel, the Anywhere 2 feels like a cheap product. The scroll wheel is nervous, with excessive side-to-side play (although its smooth function is guaranteed). The on/off switch on the underside of the mouse is a little too small.
Conclusion: the Anywhere does what it is supposed to do, but its feel is noticeably inferior to its predecessor. The price of CHF 125 is overpriced for this product in my opinion. 3 out of 5 stars.

I use this mouse both in the office and at home and I have been very satisfied with it for many years. I have relatively small hands, but the mouse fits well in my hand and is easy to navigate. It is pleasantly heavy, so not too light, but not too heavy either. It might be a bit too heavy for some people, but I think it's perfect for everyday office use. I wouldn't need it for gaming, there are much better models.

Very good mouse bought a few years ago. If you too have experienced phantom clicks, it is possible to repair the mouse very easily! Look on youtube, you just have to fold a plate in the contact. I just gave it a second life!
Very satisfied!

Super mouse works great with Ipad and PC. Battery lasts a long time, I would buy it again if it wasn't for the new generation.

Our company replaced all our mice with this thing. Now almost half of the employees have purchased private mice and use them for work. - I have endured 2 days with it. The sensor jumps, the mouse wheel is unreliable. I just learned the price, had actually assumed the things were so in the price range of 10-15CHF.
