I bought the 2230 SSD to upgrade my Steamdeck. This worked wonderfully. Using DISKCLONER, the transfer was no problem and STEAMOS did the rest.
So far I have had no negative experiences with the change.
Installation is hassle free.

12 screws a little skill and you have the 64GB SteamDeck upgraded to 1TB without any problems! I can only recommend. Super quality. Price a bit high but compared to the Steam offer very cheap!

1TB is a nice amount of storage to have on your Surface Pro. This was an easy and painless installation of the SSD into my Surface Pro.
I installed it directly (without taking the heatsink/structure off the original SSD) and it took 2 minutes - make sure you have the right T3 screwdriver. You'll spend more time preparing the recovery USB (remember to also download and add the Surface specific files).
Is it faster than the original SSD? The online reviews say it is. I haven't noticed a difference - i.e. it is fast - so don't care. The extra space is what it is about!

A top decision, originally Toshiba or so below. Fast, reliable, etc. Runs smoothly for months.
Pro
Not better but not much worse than the original SSD, about 100-200 MB/s slower.

Bought a Surface Pro 7+ with the smallest possible SSD storage. Then replaced the SSD with this SSD. Now I actually have a device that would cost well over 2000.- CHF, but just much cheaper :-) Installation etc. went smoothly. And tests show that the SSD is even faster than the original SSD.
