HP LaserJet MFP M140w
Laser, Black and white
I had a Canon Pixma (colour) printer for years and one of the colour cartridges was constantly empty - it was extremely tedious and expensive to constantly replace the cartridges etc. for relatively little printing work. - I was therefore looking for a laser printer and this laser printer fulfils my needs exactly (regularly printing something b&w and scanning documents) - for this reason: highly recommended for anyone who has/is looking for the same needs.

After a few start-up problems, the printer now works for me without any problems via WLAN, even with Linuxmint. Contrary to other comments, the HP package even includes a toner cartridge. It would therefore not have been necessary to buy an additional toner module. Since I actually only work with Linuxmint, I find the diversions via Microschrott incredibly tedious, my laptop takes an insanely long time both when starting up and shutting down, Microschrott probably realises that I have not been a fan of this operating system for a long time and is now taking revenge this way.

I have always been very satisfied with the DIGITEC service - Excellent!
The printer is certainly good for Windows, but I have not been able to get it to work under Linux (Ubuntu). The help from the manufacturer was of little value.
The set-up worked well (following the instructions) and was easy to understand. I find it positive that the printer can be connected to both the PC and the mobile phone via WLAN. I didn't find setting it up on the network very difficult (I have little PC knowledge).
This means that the location is not directly linked to the proximity of a desktop PC. It is also possible to print directly from the mobile phone - so Family members without PC access can also print documents from the mobile.
I think the price/performance ratio for a device with so many functions is fine and justified. The lack of a paper tray makes the printer less suitable for continuous use, which is something you should be aware of and bear in mind when buying.

Received 1 week ago. Compact device, seems to be ideal for occasional, irregular use. Toner is supplied directly, installation within a reasonable time. I am completely satisfied so far.

The printer takes up little space, so it can also be used on smaller surfaces. Installation was completed in just a few steps and the printer was ready for use. Text is clean and sharp, images are also pretty good, even if only in black and white. Scanning is also quite fast and in good quality. All in all, a great value for money.

Very good excellent 5 *
Very easy to set up
The printer works perfectly and scanning also works. However, setting up the WLAN was quite tricky. I took my time for the few pages I print each year. It's a shame that HP practically forces you to create an account. However, I have declined all requests. Still very happy with the purchase

Well suited as a second printer and scanner for my home office room. The lack of a scan function without a PC on the device itself, e.g. scanning to a network storage (NAS) is a pity, but a quick scan of just one A4 page can also be done quickly and easily with a mobile phone

How good the device really is will become apparent in the longer term

I bought this printer for my father. He occasionally wants to use it to print out his phone bill etc., to pay at the post office, to copy things occasionally etc.. I was therefore looking for the cheapest printer for him that is not ink-operated and can print directly from an iPad. This device is perfect for him as he can print himself and the consumables are just cheap enough per sales unit that it doesn't seem outrageous to him. The device is so compact that it fits on his shelf. Contrary to some reports, I was able to set it up with the iPhone within 5 minutes and printing from the iPad works perfectly. The print quality is impressive, and the fact that it doesn't support duplex printing and ADF is absolutely logical given the price.
The device is not for frequent printers. The paper feed solution is too cumbersome, the speed is too slow and the cost per page is far too high. But for my father, who prints his 5 pages a month at most instead of running to the neighbour, there is hardly anything better, especially as his device still cost CHF 79.00 with cashback.
