If it wasn't for the power adapter, it would be perfect.
The speed increase compared to the regular Chromecast is very pleasant. I use Zatoo a lot. There is no fast forward, you can only skip a number of minutes. It's great when the picture comes back quickly afterwards.
The negative thing is that 4K is only possible with the supplied power supply. This has a network connection (RJ45). I am happy about every device that reliably connects to the cable.Pro

Good stuff. Google photos should also support 4k
Chromecast in general is a good thing. Streaming from YouTube goes in 4k. It is somewhat disappointing that one's own photos are only displayed in HD via Google photos...

Working as advertised
Works the way Chromecasts work. Comparable to apple's AirPlay, but works with Android, iOS and desktop clients.
Note: The device that digitec supplied me with came with a US power adapter and this cannot be easily replaced by a conventional micro-USB adapter, as the Chromecast Ultra only supports 4K when connected to the official power adapter (presumably because it needs more power for UHD).
However, the power supply is 240V-compatible, so a simple plug converter is sufficient.Pro

The unit is an import from the USA, i.e. it comes with an American power supply unit.
CAUTION: other power supplies will not work if you want to use the Chromecast with 4K! The device detects if an original power supply is connected and refuses 4K streaming otherwise. What a disappointment :(.Contra

Great device with tinkering
After a lot of tinkering with the stoma adapter, cable, 3-pin plug and insulating tape, I'm ready to go. I use the part with Horizon Go. It works 10 times better than the UPC Box! It has to be set up with Google Home.

Great device for Google consumers
Add-on device. Can now see and hear photos and music via the TV. Ingenious accessory.
Please note: this is an import and the adapter is not included!
I don't really like MM but they make the effort to include an adapter, as the score is already at 4*, I'll take 2* off to draw your attention to this. Otherwise clear, I join the other comments that the CC Ultra is superior to the other versions.

Product good and easy to use. Unfortunately, it was delivered with a US plug without comment. This is not ok, especially if you want to use it immediately.
Worthwhile purchase to watch UHD - but adapter for CH power plug is missing
The product itself works without any problems in Switzerland. The power supply unit also has the correct voltage. However, no Swiss power plug is supplied. However, I was able to get an adapter

My experience :
Nomadism complicated (travel, holidays, second home) because WIFI mandatory. For 4G, impossible with only 1 Smartphone. You have to use two smartphones (one as a router with shared connection and another to go on the Apps).
No remote control. Everything is controlled by the smartphone and it is not intuitive at all.
All the content of the Smartphone (music, photos, etc...) must be on a personal Google+ account.
Impossible to view photos saved directly on a smartphone. Chromecast only allows you to view content on Google Apps. VOD goes through Google Play, NETFLIX, Youtube. Impossible to view an Itunes account.
In summary: Chromecast does not transfer the Smartphone screen to the TV but USES the Smartphone to connect the TV to the Internet and especially to Google Apps. 4G mobile connection almost impossible, and everything is complicated to view.
A simple wired HDMI connector to connect a TV and a smartphone does exactly the same job and is so much easier and more flexible to use in WIFI but also in 4G. Not to mention an Apple TV that recognises an IPhone when sharing a 4G connection and simply transfers the screen to the TV. It's so much easier and more flexible to use. In short, I do not recommend the Chromecast Utra at all. It's a rip-off.Pro
