Epson ET-7700 EcoTank Photo
Ink tank, Colour
Very good quality at first.
But then, unfortunately, the colours mixed, also clearly visible in the nozzle test + sometimes large drops of ink on the printout.
Cleaned the device several times, also carried out power cleaning, ... Then sent for repair. Unfortunately I only got it back thoroughly cleaned. I had complained about this (that I was assuming a defect that could hardly be remedied by cleaning alone), but could not insist on this, as the machine then temporarily printed correctly.
Now, unfortunately, the same error again (even power cleaning does not remedy this), but the guarantee is no longer valid.
I will replace the device with this, but I am still undecided whether I only had an assembly device (+ bad repair) and I will buy another EcoTank device or whether I will now buy a printer from another brand.

One maintenance box was already "defective" when I received it. Epson's telephone support promised to send me a new one. Now I have been waiting for the maintenance box for over a month. In the meantime, the printer no longer works.

The decisive factors for my purchase were the size of the device, the print quality of photos and a powerful scanner as well as duplex printing.
At first I was enthusiastic for a while, but then my joy about the purchase quickly dimmed: the print was no longer clean after about 12 months. Before EVER printing, I now had to clean the print head first, otherwise the result was unusable.
I still had ink for a good year, but in my opinion the device no longer did what it was supposed to do: simply print documents cleanly.
My conclusion: hands off!!! I'm switching back to a colour laser soon. Unfortunately, these things are still big and heavy ...

After a lot of back and forth, we decided on this supposedly environmentally friendly device. My conclusion after more than 2 years is devastating. The first few months everything was as expected. After that, the smears increased, followed by countless print head cleanings. What you might save on ink, you spend on the maintenance box. Absolutely immature product, smears constantly after a short time, requires replacement of the maintenance box after 100 printouts and various print head cleanings. If you don't have it, it doesn't print at all. Never again EPSON.

The idea sounds nice and ecological, the implementation is a joke.
Actually, it's a printer for Fr.99.95, with ink for the rest of the purchase amount.
It can't do anything really well and has now started to smear. And I can't get rid of it!
The only advantage is the ink supply, but that's made up for by the puny paper tray.

This was the most expensive failure of all printers that have ever found their way to my home. I deliberately buy a slightly more expensive printer and the print result is hardly ever usable.
The first three or four months everything went well and the print results were excellent. Whether document printing or picture printing.
But then the first black smears appeared, especially at the top and bottom of a printout. Then you just open the printer, dab the overflowing (?) black ink from the inside and the thing runs again for a few print jobs. Then the game starts all over again.
As if that wasn't annoying enough, color printouts are now also unusable. Color stripes without end - whether color document printout or image print. Unusable.
All types of cleaning have been done several times without even a single improvement.
The attached examples include the original image, the corresponding Epson printout on glossy paper, and a normal color A4 printout.
Sure, the printer had some goode features that should have made it to the plus side, but what good are they if the printer delivers such miserable print results?
Stupidly, I used this Epson printer too late, because I wanted to use up the ink of my old printer. And now, after the first few months of trouble-free operation, the really big problems are starting and the warranty has expired in the meantime. But yes, that was my big mistake, I admit.
