Not recommended for seamless integration
After some time with Home Control & Devolo, I would never buy this product or the blinds flush-mounted switches I ordered with it again. Devolo is and remains a "tinkerer's workshop" and is unlikely to ever leave this status. The entire system is still not really capable of running its services without the server (probably somewhere in Germany). So
For example, when the app is started, it takes a while until the automatic login has taken place.
Likewise, the whole thing can still be controlled with other apps (e.g. Homekit from Apple, etc.) - despite promises from Devolo - and is therefore very isolated.Broken / Not fit for purpose
The home control unit was broken. I wasted 4 hours with Devolo technical support trying to set this up - after it failed to work they asked me the serial number and then told me that there was a hardware fault with this batch of control units. Getting the replacement took weeks. The control unit and switch unit effectively have to be in the same room ... I have a switch unit in a next door room (approximately 10 m away) and it continually informs me that it has lost connection to the control unit.
