The software is poor. The Wi-Fi connection works with luck and only rarely. Scanning via Wi-Fi practically never works. It's hard to believe that a renowned company like Canon would dare to bring such poor software onto the market in 2016. Printing via app is also a matter of luck.Pro

Fine when it runs, but...
The printer does what it is supposed to do: It prints in good quality and is visible to all users on the web, which unfortunately cannot be said of my previous HP model, although it should be able to do everything.
However, I deduct two points for the terrible installation instructions.

You can probably get the thing to work on a Windows computer with the software that comes with it.

Great printer from Canon. Operates quickly and is compatible with all major cloud services. The machine does its job; print and scan quality are great. Speed is great when the printer is online. Installation on Windows 10 is automatic.
Disadvantages include the material: as usual from Canon, the printer is made of shiny plastic and quickly catches dust. When the device is in standby, it takes quite a long time before it can print.Pro

Overall, a good printer that meets my home needs. Unfortunately, the extremely high ink consumption is very negative. If you set the printer to switch off and on automatically, a cleaning process is first carried out every time a new print is made. This consumes ink unnecessarily and it also takes a long time before the actual printing starts. In the meantime, my cartridges are half empty without me having printed much. And the Canon ink is overpriced. For this reason, I would not buy the printer again.
In addition, when changing the paper format, the format has to be programmed/registered via the screen every time, which I consider to be inconvenient. With my old PIXMA IP4600 printer, none of this was necessary.Pro

Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. Great device for home use. The print quality is great, even for photos. Thanks to the Wi-Fi connection, you can access the printer from anywhere in the house. However, if the Wi-Fi fails, the printer no longer works either. The scan function could be a little easier to use. The inks are unfortunately very small and therefore used up quickly. It is best to always have a set of replacement inks in the house, as the printer no longer prints when one ink is empty.
