Guys, a network printer without AirPrint...

Warranty case Printer fails
was sent from Digitec to D
no solution for 4 weeks.
The printer worked great from the start, but after the warranty period it had a technical defect.
I have been very fond of Canon (cameras) so far.
I bought a more expensive single-tank printer so that the ink was cheaper.
It worked well for 2 years and then "suddenly" stopped printing exactly 10 days after the warranty period expired.
Called support, they told me to do a test and then said that the lamp blink test showed that the printer had to be sent in.
I will do this, but the repair is not a goodwill gesture, but at my expense.
If it costs more than CHF 30, then I'll buy a new cheap printer and if it also reaches the planned obsolescence at some point, then it will go straight to the scrap heap and be replaced by a new cheap printer.
The manufacturers have zero interest in environmental protection and saving CO2, otherwise the parts wouldn't break right away.
If that's how they want it, then that's how we'll play the stupid game, and the environment will suffer as a result.
So if you are looking for a printer that lasts 2 years, then ok. If you want it to last longer, get a CHF 40 printer and replace it with the next one when it breaks.
p.s.: By the way, scanning didn't work either, although it has nothing to do with printing! Otherwise you could still use it...

I am happy with it.
It is a bit noisy but I knew about that from reviews so I cannot really class it as a -ve.
Maybe it is a bit slow but not so much that amateur me would notice or care.
A4 borderless colour prints look really good - again from amateur me.
Tanks - I was getting really fedup with really expensive ink cartridges that always seemed to run out and never fitted the next :-( printer you bought.

Setup was uncomplicated and possible without the enclosed CD. This was also possible on my M1 Macbook Air with MacOS Big Sur, but the printer had to be added via the system settings. I am satisfied with the printing results. The operation is very uncomplicated. With the single paper feed, all possible formats can be set. Hopefully the machine will now run for a long time.

Setting up the WLAN is a totally lousy, useless description. It really only works without a cable if you charge a mobile phone with a Canon tool. The instructions are complete rubbish and are simply not correct (I assume they were taken from another manual without checking). Otherwise, the printer works for everyday use. Let's hope that Canon hasn't installed something else that makes the printer unusable shortly after the warranty expires.

The USB cable is not supplied, is of course a special connection ...
The WiFi connection cannot be configured - the key combinations do not work.
The on/off light flashes, the rhythm is not described in the manual.
I can't get the printer to work.
Sorry, but this is a lot of rubbish from Canon!

The installation was an imposition but still feasible. Since the end of November 2018, the printer has been in private use, i.e. printing a letter or e-mail now and then. After this short time, the printer stopped working today with an ominous error message:
5B00
Cause
Printer error has occurred.

During these few months of use, the printer has cost me a lot of time and nerves. I have long been a fan of Canon printers. My last Canon inkjet printer (10 years old) still works, but unfortunately drivers for Windows 10 are no longer available. Hence the new purchase. The software that Canon supplies here is an imposition; terribly slow, not usable on high-resolution screens. A step backwards, not a step forward.
The printer did not install without problems on my Mac - with wifi connection. It took about 3 hours.
But after everything was up and running, I am very satisfied with the function and the print and scan quality.
