B&O Beoplay H9 3rd Gen.
ANC, 32 h, Wireless
I don't like ANC. And I find it terrible with this headphone as with any other. Other than that: unfortunately, there is a significant risk of addiction. You never want to put the headphones down thanks to their sound. The battery life further fuels this tendency. At this very moment, I'm lying in my bed listening to some fucked up trancecore. But you don't have to be into hard metal ch**** to be able to fiercely celebrate the H9's terrific sound. If you want, the headphones will also blow your mind with Lang Lang's great interpretation of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3. I swear. You like rap? Apparently, so does the H9. Shall I continue? If you want to buy headphones now and don't choose this one, I can't help you.

In principle, a very good headphone that comes up with good ANC and excellent sound. However, the wearing comfort is very limited. The headphones fit a bit loose (compared to the Bose headphones) and although properly adjusted, the B&O headphones quickly start to pinch. I wore the headphones for a day and had to slide them back and forth several times. It was very uncomfortable and because of that I decided to retune the headphones. Since I am a frequent flyer, I have worn the Bose headphones a lot and a lot. I never had a problem with the comfort.

As a headphone, it's a great device, but the connection via BT is a pain. It's hit or miss with the laptop but eventually, after reading an article from B&O, it works.
The connection to the smartphone is only possible via an app from Beo, which is terrible.
Not recommended at all for travelling

Actually a super device. 1A sound, perfect workmanship, I like the design, the NC is great and makes no "pressure effect". But... If you wear the headphones longer (for example, commuting), the physical pressure that arises is not bearable. This is a real shame, because otherwise the device is very good.

Tested in the store, charged at home full of anticipation and then started. First, my favorite songs in the field of rock / metal. Ok Crass disappointment, very tinny, little bass, muffled voices. Don't seem to be made for this genre. Then some Billie Elish and Chillout here fit the headphones. Totally gorgeous sound, everything fits even the bass. Then I downloaded the B&O app, the "Optimal" sound a little too "energized" so more bass and treble pulled and lo and behold, the thing rips so even rock / metal effortlessly. Now crassly satisfied!

Good sound.
Active noise cancelling is always active when switched on. If you then place the ear cup slightly differently (i.e. touch it), it sometimes whistles in your ear.
You have to start the app every time and wait until it finds the headphones to deactivate it.
You can deactivate it on the side surfaces, but then it automatically activates 'Transparency'. Then the ambient noise is amplified.
Simply deactivating active noise cancelling is only possible via the app.
Operation via the surfaces on the outside of the ear cup can be disadvantageous. For example, during sports. If you touch them with your upper arms, for example, the headphones do something (e.g. switch to pause). Unfortunately, these areas cannot be deactivated.
I wouldn't buy these again.

If you also listen to classical music, you should buy this (or the successor model) and not the Sony. And the noise cancelling is excellent.

Connected to a system with SACD (with cable and Bluetooth) is my perception that the headphones do not implement the dynamic range that I expected. It's trimmed more for ANC, which it does just fine. Try him still on my CAYIN N3Pro DIGITAL AUDIO PLAYER, let's hear what then means my hearing sensation.

I already own the first generation E8 which are very good headphones, but with limited autonomy (3 hours). With this headset, this problem no longer exists and it keeps warm in winter.

Had previously the Bose QC 35 II and must say I'm really excited about the Beoplay H9. The sound is again significantly better, the noise cancelling comparable and the battery very long-lasting! Use the headphones almost every day and would not want to miss it! Clear purchase recommendation!

If you have to describe the sound in one word, I would personally use "Euphoric". The battery lasts, as I experienced with the Beolit 17, for a good half eternity.
The only thing I find is that the shells are a müh too small, but still sensationally cozy!

Great, balanced sound paired with decent ANC and a quality workmanship justify the high price of the headphones in my view. Making calls with the headphones also works well and the battery life is decent. Only the wearing comfort, especially with the bracket, competitors bring better.

I purposely give one star because this fashion accessory is apparently supposed to be so great. Based on the reviews I also bought it.
+ Beautiful workmanship / Beautiful sound
+ Bluetooth codec aptX LL to enjoy video/TV without lag.
- Bass is nice, but not load bearing. Good for "lighter" use.
- Just becomes extremely imprecise at higher volume, which I do not know for example from Bose.
- By no means a high-end device.

Order and pickup went perfectly, great!
- not good is that the B&O give a link for the manual, which does not work. If digital, it must be better than before with manual. It is definitely not!
