I have installed this radio in an MGF. (Two existing LS in the rear, 4 in the front, 2 of which are tweeters).
Without an external amplifier and additional subwoofer, the music performance of this radio is below par. Only midrange and treble come out. And even these can only be adjusted poorly on the radio. Either you have too much treble or too much mid-range. The built-in "equaliser" with the pre-sets is not usable, and the manual settings are also useless. The output power is simply too bad.
The solution was to connect an audio amplifier (Pioneer GM-D1004) via RCA and a small subwoofer (Pioneer TS-WX130EA) via the radio's RCA subwoofer output. Since the car has a small interior (2-seater), it was enough to produce a pleasant sound. Still, it's sad, because the previous radio didn't need all this extra work! That was a REAL, old Blaupunkt. That was still quality!
I solved the antenna connection via the original antenna, as I wanted to preserve the look. I installed an active FM/DAB splitter from ABB Bad Blankenburg. In my personal opinion, this is one of the few that are good enough.
Note for splitter installation: If the existing antenna is a "passive antenna", an active splitter is needed. However, if the antenna is an "active antenna", use a passive splitter. Before buying, check the connection configuration (plugs/sockets on the antenna and radio side) so that you have the right splitter and do not have to assemble the cables first. You can also buy a self-adhesive windscreen aerial. Due to the small window area, this option was not possible for me, as I would not have been able to "hide" the thing anywhere sensible and the antenna would always have been somewhere in the field of vision.

Currently the best DAB radio in terms of price/performance. However, I was very disappointed that the 15 DAB antenna is not included in the scope of delivery.

The design is very suitable for older cars. As an amplifier is already installed in mine ex works, performance is not a problem. Sounded good to my ears.
But what is really disappointing is that you can hardly see the display in daylight! Especially not if you choose a colour other than white. That's why I only give it 1 star.
