Supplied with (power) adapter/power supply. Needs power connection. HDMI interface is not sufficient for sufficient power supply.

It should work according to the technical specifications in the data sheet. But I haven't tried it out myself yet.

With Netflix, I hear only sporadic noises through my soundbar (B&W Panorama), no speech at all. I don't have this problem with Youtube and Teleboy. Does anyone else have this phenomenon?

Does this work for sound output from an Apple TV 4 to a Sonos Playbar? I have already tried another HDMI Audio Extractor without success - but I am not sure if this device is defective.

Yes, if a Sonos component is connected via the jack output, the line-in input can be controlled by the Sonos.
