The PocketBook Touch 622 is operated via a touchscreen and runs on Linux. With a thickness of just 9.5 mm, it is equivalent to a paperback book. Small, lightweight, and easily portable, it can be taken anywhere, whether in a handbag or a backpack. Approximately 1000 books can fit in the internal memory. Multilingual.
The touchscreen display is based on E Ink technology with 16 grayscale levels. Unlike conventional LED displays, electronic paper does not flicker, which can strain the eyes over time. Connectivity is available via WiFi or USB. ABBYY dictionaries are pre-installed on the device, along with speech synthesis converters and more.

Mit einem vergleichsweise grobpixligen Touch-Display und einer auffällig schwachen Akkuleistung im Test rangiert der PocketBook Touch eReader nur unter ferner liefen. Daran ändert auch das zügige Tempo beim Umblättern nichts. Für knapp 100 Euro haben viele Konkurrenten mehr auf der Pfanne.
Vielseitig. Sehr gute Bildqualität bei hellem und mittlerem Licht. Im Dunkeln fehlt jedoch die Hintergrundbeleuchtung. Bedienung über Touchscreen. Sehr vielseitig mit zahlreichen Zusatzfunktionen wie Zeilenabstand verändern oder den Text in alle Richtungen drehen. Menü unübersichtlich. Akku hält 46 Tage.

Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Online-Buchhändler ist nicht wirklich gelungen, da die Sprache auf Deutsch nicht recht funktioniert. Doch dafür sind viele Klassiker vorinstalliert und man kann dazu noch Spiele spielen oder Musik hören.

Bis auf die fehlenden Apps und dem recht teuren Preis ist der e-Book von PocketBook ein gutes Gerät. Mit dem PocketBook kann man neben Bücher lesen auch Spiele spielen oder Musik hören. Außerdem sind viele Klassiker kostenlos vorinstalliert.

Der Reader glänzt durch eine riesige Auswahl an Zeitschriften, wobei der große Umfang an Auswahlmöglichkeiten auch eine etwas schwierig Benutzerführung nach sich zieht.

Bis auf das etwas verwirrende und vollgestopfte Menü und den eher mäßigen Online Shop, ist der E-Book Reader ein tolles Gerät für Schmöker, die gerne und vor allem viel lesen. Das Display ist groß genug und der Leser ist auch nach Stunden frei von Ermüdungserscheinungen. Ein wahrer Testsieger!
