Unter Wasser sollte man die Pentax K-r nicht mitnehmen. Ansonsten liefert sie jedoch ein prima Leistung, die Bildqualität ist auf einem hohen Level und auch die Ausstattung dürfte bei den meisten Fotografen vollauf ausreichen.
Sehr gut ausgestattete, solide Kamera. Bei ISO 100 löst sie hoch auf, rauscht kaum und kann hohe Motivkontraste bewältigen. Mit steigender Empfindlichkeit nimmt das Rauschen zu und die Eingangsdynamik ab. Bei ISO 6400 sind die Bilder arg verrauscht.
Pentax bietet mit der K-7 eine der robustesten Spiegelreflexkameras an, der Spritzwasser und Dreck kaum etwas anhaben können. Darüber hinaus überzeugt die DSRL mit einer guten Bildqualität und einer umfangreichen aber schnell zu erlernenden Bedienung. Als Zugabe nimmt die Kamera Videos auf, wobei eine Kompaktkamera besser für Spontan-Videos geeignet ist.
