The Lumix S 35mm F1.8 is a fixed focal length with a moderate wide angle and the ideal lens for reportage, street photography or portraits with surroundings. It impresses with its high imaging performance and its new circular aperture blades ensure a particularly attractive bokeh. The lens also offers outstanding mobility thanks to its compact size and low weight. It is also characterised by a dust- and splash-resistant design and can be used in the most adverse conditions down to -10° C. As part of the F1.8 lens series, it has the same size and position of controls and the same 67mm filter diameter for intuitive and consistent handling. Finally, it also ensures high-quality videos by suppressing focus breathing.

With the 1.8/35, Panasonic continues to expand its KB series. At aperture 1.8, the measured values for the centre of the image are OK, but the drop in contrast at the edges is quite high. Stopping down raises the measured values for the centre of the image to a very good to excellent level...
- The new lens has the high resolution and very pleasant contrast rendition in common with its three siblings, as well as the light intensity.
- The lens does not have an optical image stabiliser and is therefore absolutely dependent on the corresponding solution in the camera.
