Dank einfacher Bedienung kommen Einsteiger mit der Lumix gut zurecht; für Fotofans gibt’s Spezialmodi wie 4K-Serien obendrauf. Wie die Nikon A1000 (siehe unten) hat die TZ96 einen eingebauten Sucher, und das ist nicht selbstverständlich in dieser Klasse. Der Sucher ist winzig, aber bei strahlendem Sonnenschein ermöglicht er einen genaueren Blick aufs Motiv als das Display.

Die Lumix TZ96 liefert bei gutem Licht tolle Aufnahmen und 4K-Videos in guter Qualität. Nur bei Schummerlicht verlieren die Bilder deutlich an Schärfe. Dank einfacher Bedienung kommen Einsteiger gut zurecht. Der Sucher ist detailreich, aber für Brillenträger etwas zu klein.
