Geht es um die Geschwindigkeit, macht die Olympus TG-830 im Test eine prima Figur. Darüber hinaus muss man sich bei dieser kompakten Digitalkamera jedoch mit einer durchschnittlichen Leistung abfinden, wobei auch Ausstattung und Handling keine Bestwerte erreichen.

Die Outdoorkamera ist mit einem GPS Modul und einem Kompass ausgestattet, sodass sie bestens für den Außenbereich grüstet ist. Auch schnell ist sie und kurz nach dem Einschalten kann sie bereits Fotos schießen. Leider sind die Bilder etwas unscharf und auch bei der Farbtreue ist sie nicht perfekt, wobei eine WLAN Einheit bei diesem Preis angebracht wäre.

Die Olympus TG-830 hinterlässt im Test einen gemischten Eindruck. Sie bewährt sich als sehr robuste Kamera. Die Bildqualität zeigt allerdings nur eine durchschnittliche Leistung. Die Ausstattung bietet Basis-Kost, ergänzt durch ein GPS-Modul samt elektronischem Kompass. Der Autofokus reagiert zumindest im Weitwinkel ausreichend schnell.
Die Olympus Tough TG-830 arbeitet sehr flott und kann auch mit einem guten Rauschverhalten bis ISO 400 punkten. In der prallen Ausstattung befindet sich ein GPS zur Standorterfassung. Sie ist nicht nur wasserdicht und stoßfest, sondern auch frostsicher. Lediglich die schwache Farbtreue stört im Test.
