Die Olympus kann HD-Videos in 720p aufnehmen, und in der zweiten Hälfte des Testfelds ist ihre Bildqualität mit am besten. Dafür muss man aufgrund der kompakten und leichten Nostalgie-Bauweise der Pen E-P1 auf einen Sucher und einen Blitz verzichten.
Altmodisches Handwerk und Solidarität prägt die Anziehungskraft der E-P1 - sie verlockt diejenigen, die eigentlich keine Digitalkamera möchten.
Olympus erste MFT-Kamera im kompakten Retrodesign überzeugt mit sehr guter Bildqualität und Bildstabilisator im Gehäuse. Auf Sucher und Gehäuseblitz verzichtet sie und der Autofokus ist langsamer als bei der Konkurrenz.
Einen Pop-Up-Blitz hat Olympus erst bei der angekündigten E-PL1 verbaut, die unter den beiden bereits erhältlichen Schwestermodellen angesiedelt ist.
Damit die kleine PEN nicht aus allen Nähten platzt, hat man auf die Integration von Blitz und Sucher verzichtet...
