Fotos werden mit der Nikon Coolpix P900 im Weitwinkelbereich farbtreu und bis in die Ecken scharf gezeichnet aufgenommen. Im Tele-Anschlag sind bei genügend Licht ebenfalls sehr gute Resultate erzielbar ? so lange man die Rauschkorrektur im Auge behält. Nikon setzt bei der Coolpix P900 auf Zoomstärke. Im Urlaub fängt man damit zwar jedes Motiv ein, bei maximaler Teleeinstellung und wenig Licht ist ein Stativ aber Pflicht. Die Bildqualität ist bei niedrigen ISO-Werten gut, erhöht man die Lichtempfindlichkeit fängt es schnell an zu rauschen. Per WLAN lassen sich Fotos bequem aufs Smartphone übertragen.
Lichtstark trotz "Weltrekord-Zoom", kaum Farbsäume und Verzeichnung, rauscharm aber nur bei niedriger ISO - und dann um den Preis weichgezeichneter Texturen.

Guter Monitor zum Klappen und Schwenken, schnelle Kamera, grundlegende Handgriffe funktionieren einfach, viele Extras und Funktionen. Nachteile: dick und sehr schwer, für eine Kompaktkamera sehr teuer.
