Product details

With its slim design it is the perfect partner for more compact digital DX format SLR cameras from Nikon. The versatile zoom range from 70 to 300 mm gives you the flexibility to shoot beautiful snapshots
from a distance, take unique travel pictures or go hunting for wildlife photos as an amateur. You will achieve rich colors and sharp results. Nikon's Image Stabilizer (VR) guarantees sharp images, while the autofocus ensures fast and extremely quiet focusing for video recordings and photos.

Whether you're new to D-SLR photography or need a second lens to increase your range, this 4.3x zoom DX format lens is the ideal choice. Capture impressive image compositions with the versatile focal length range of 70 to 300 mm (equivalent to 105 to 450 mm for FX format) and bring your subject closer. Benefit from the flexible zoom range and bring wild animals close up. Or take brilliant close-ups of your kids playing. If you prefer to record movies, the even and particularly quiet autofocus supports you. Nikon's new stepper motor ensures fast focusing of the lens. Its particularly quiet operation makes it ideal for filming. If you zoom on a subject while taking a picture, it can be focused immediately and with absolute precision. When recording film sequences, the motor enables a smooth, almost noiseless focus shift.

This Nikkor lens for the DX format is specially designed to take full advantage of the high image sensor resolution of your Nikon digital SLR camera. An ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass lens helps minimize color errors to capture brilliant images with vibrant colors, sharp detail and perfect contrast. Nikon's impressive image stabilization system is designed for even smoother freehand shooting and allows up to four light levels longer exposure times. This ensures sharp, blur-free images in low light even when shooting at maximum telephoto focal length. The image stabilizer can be turned on or off from the camera menu.
