The GS110MX and GS110EMX are equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and two uplink 10-Gigabit/MultiGigabit ports (5-Speed), which provide connectivity options of 100-Megabit, 1-Gigabit, 2.5-Gigabit, 5-Gigabit, or 10-Gigabit. The two uplink ports automatically detect the speed required by the connected device and provide it accordingly. Additionally, these two multi-speed switch ports can be connected using standard Cat5E Ethernet cables, eliminating the need to upgrade to Cat6 cabling. This saves costs and effort on wiring.
