Robust, but weak when surfing. Display poorly legible. Battery satisfactory. Keyboard twists out, the top row of keys is poorly usable. Multitouch. Offboard navigation, compass.
- unusual design
- robustly processed
- Display small and moderate resolution
- Camera and MP3 player weak
Motorola has cleverly adapted its Motoblur interface with fast social media access to the square display, but overall the display is too small, too low in contrast and too weak in resolution.

- good workmanship
- Design
- UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, WiFi including WLAN-n
- Response of the touchscreen and pressure point of the keyboard
- Reception and voice quality
- Synchronisation

... Even as an entertainer, the Flipout with its weak music sound and lousy 3-megapixel photos is not really good. And anyone who seriously intends to use their mobile phone as a mobile office will hardly be satisfied with the screen, which is only average in size and above all has an extremely low resolution: Websites, e-mails and calendar management cannot be comfortably displayed on the Flipout.
The Motorola Flipout is a fun design experiment that is not as convincing as the competition.
- Address matching with many Internet services
- Real writing keyboard
- 2 GB memory card
- Compass
- GPS navigation (via internet)
- Short battery life
