- Quite bright picture with good colours
- Streaming-Extrastop
- Contrast a little flat
- No headphone output
The LG has a somewhat flat contrast, but the colours are unadulterated and the viewing angles are quite stable - good when a whole fan club is sitting in front of the TV. Great in daylight: The UR78 is brighter than average for its price range. Even the sound is usable and the streaming features are just as good as top models.
- Natural colours
- Well explained menus
- Sound neat
- Remote control with small buttons and spongy pressure points
Even the test winner is not without compromises in this price range: the LG's remote control and working speed are the concessions to the price. On the other hand, the picture, which shows good, natural colours, the decent sound and the complete equipment with USB recording and plenty of streaming options are pleasing. You can hardly expect more for 500 euros.
