Product details
Experience faster multitasking and create amazing digital media. And with the combination of Intel Turbo Boost Technology and Intel Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel HT Technology), which unleashes full processing power where you need it most, you can count on maximum performance for everything you do on your PC.
Intel Turbo Boost Technology accelerates demanding applications and dynamically adapts performance to your needs. Enjoy more performance when you need it. Intel Hyper-Threading Technology supports multithreaded applications so you can get multiple tasks done at once. The operating system has eight processing threads available. So multitasking is easier than ever.
Intel Advanced Smart Cache: More performance and efficiency for the cache subsystem. Optimized for the leading multithreaded games.
Integrated memory controller supports three channels of DDR3 1066 MHz memory for up to 25.6 GB/sec memory bandwidth. The lower latency and higher bandwidth of this memory controller delivers incredible performance for data-intensive applications.
Intel HD Boost enables significant improvements for a wide range of multimedia and other computationally intensive applications. 128-bit SSE instructions are processed at a rate of one instruction per clock cycle, setting a new standard in processor efficiency for applications optimized for SSE4.

AMD has clearly decided this battle in its favour. Giant Intel has to play hard to catch up again. At the moment, the classes for the blue team have moved back one point and we have to compare 5s with 7s. The fact that AMD still has a Ryzen 9 5950X up its sleeve should only be mentioned here in passing out of courtesy.
That is unusual. It seems Intel has slept through the times a little. When it comes to CPUs, Tema Blue is clearly behind Team Red. This comparative test shows that without ifs and buts. The good thing: CPU prices are developing nicely - as long as AMD doesn't get greedy. The fastest desktop CPU in the consumer sector comes from AMD...
- Has an integrated graphics card
- Supports Thunderbolt 3 natively
- Very good performance values
- Fan is not included in the scope of delivery
In our test, the Intel Core i7-10700K, an eight-core processor based on the Comet Lake S architecture, comes up with good performance values. The CPU's standard frequency is 3,800 MHz, which briefly clocks up to 5,100 MHz during high workloads thanks to Turbo Boost. In addition, the model supports Hyper-Threading, so it can process up to 16 threads simultaneously...
AMD's 5000 CPUs make the i9-10850K and i7-10700K look almost like bargains. However, the Intel chips are fast and thus inexpensive alternatives. If you don't gamble, you can also save money on a graphics card.
- High per-stroke performance
- Very good single- and multi-core performance
- high gaming performance
- Quite high energy consumption
- High price
... AMD therefore performs better in applications, but in games Intel wins most duels due to its higher clock speed. Recently, Intel itself compared the Core i7 10700K with a Ryzen 9 3900XT costing around 460 euros and focused on games, where the Core i7 10700K had the edge. If applications had been included, the result would have been different.
With the Intel Core i7-10700K, Intel is back with Comet Lake-S with a very good eight-core, which is, however, very similar to the Core i9-9900K. However, this means a very high gaming performance ex works. OC is also possible with an open multiplier.
