Die Druckqualität des HP 6970 liegt auf akzeptablem Niveau. Schade, dass seine Tinte so gemächlich trocknet und die Kosten für Text- und Fotodruck hoch sind. Weiteres Manko: Beim Drucken (5,9 Sone) und Scannen (5,5 Sone) macht er am meisten Krach. Dafür arbeitet er aber mit hohem Tempo und verdaut dickes Papier mit bis zu 280 Gramm pro Quadratmeter.
