The Hero9 is not a new milestone, but it is a touch better than its predecessor and clearly the best action cam currently available. The video quality is as good as usual, the image stabiliser is excellent and the battery life is slightly longer. Owners of a Hero8 or Hero7 don't necessarily have to upgrade.
