Product details
An integrated accelerometer stores data on distance and pace when you train on an indoor track or treadmill. A separate running sensor is therefore unnecessary. After your workout, the device turns into an activity monitor, tracking the steps taken and calories burned throughout the day. If you sit for more than an hour, it even reminds you to get moving again. The Forerunner 235 is compatible with GPS and GLONASS satellites, quickly and accurately determining your current position—even in dense forests or near tall buildings.
An optical sensor on the Forerunner 235 measures heart rate around the clock at your wrist, allowing you to run without a chest strap. The colored display shows your heart rate zone and beats per minute in real time.
Every runner is different and has different goals. To help you achieve your own goals, you can download training plans from Garmin Connect to your watch. You can even customize data fields and download display designs, widgets, and apps—free of charge from Connect IQ.
