Product details
The photos created with the GFX100S II are characterised by a wide dynamic range with the finest tonal gradations and a vivid image effect, both of which are made possible by the unique properties of the large-format image sensor. The camera also features advanced object recognition based on deep learning technology, which has been significantly enhanced compared to its predecessor*3.
With fast autofocus and continuous shooting at up to seven frames per second*4, the GFX100S II can capture dynamic subjects with precision. The integrated five-axis image stabiliser is the most advanced in the series and allows up to eight EV stops*5 longer exposure times. The camera is also suitable for high-quality video recordings in 4K/30p quality.
The GFX100S II is equipped with the GFX 102MP CMOS II sensor and the powerful X Processor 5, the combination of which enables unrivalled image quality. FUJIFILM used its decades of experience in the field of colour reproduction in the development, and even the finest details are reproduced in razor-sharp detail.
The sensor has a pixel structure that enables a higher saturation and thus a low standard sensitivity of ISO 80. In contrast to its predecessor model, the GFX100S II offers a greater dynamic range and better noise behaviour.*6
The sensor's microlenses have been optimised to increase the light yield at the edges of the image. This results in increased imaging performance and more precise automatic focussing in the peripheral areas.
The GFX100S II offers a total of 20 film simulations, including "REALA ACE" for natural colour reproduction and high-contrast tonality. Numerous image styles are therefore available, which can be selected to suit the respective scene, similar to analogue films.
The GFX100S II is equipped with an advanced image stabiliser. This utilises the information supplied by the image sensor as well as highly sensitive gyro and acceleration sensors to compensate for the finest camera vibrations with maximum precision. Photographs can be taken with exposure times that are up to eight EV steps*5 longer. Even in very low light, sharp images can be taken freehand.

The Fujifilm GFX100S II impresses with its outstanding image quality. If JPEG is selected, the camera delivers stable performance and finely detailed images up to ISO 800. ISO 1600 remains usable, and even at ISO 3200, where the first weaknesses become visually apparent, the Fujifilm remains at an acceptable level...
- Like the GFX100 Il before it, the smaller GFX100S II model has also gained a lot in performance and a little in image quality thanks to the new sensor and image processor. Its size and weight also make it a real competitor for full-frame models.
- The ability to charge the battery via USB-C would be a welcome addition if the camera (included in the scope of delivery) did not rely exclusively on this and only comes with a USB plug-in power supply and suitable cable. An external charging cradle is available as an option, but should be included as standard.
The image quality of the Fujifilm GFX100S II is flawless. The large image sensor fully demonstrates its advantages over the 35 mm or APS-C format. In direct comparison with the GFX100 Il as the absolute top model in the medium format series, the only limitations that have to be accepted are those in handling, which are completely acceptable in view of the lower price of the GFX100S II...
