EQ-3 Switching measuring socket
Product details
The Homematic IP switch-metering socket is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and enables the flexible switching of electrical devices remotely while keeping an eye on their energy consumption. For commissioning, the switch-metering socket simply needs to be plugged into a socket and added to the Homematic IP system. The compact adapter plug can be used to control an electrical heater as well as to switch another electrical consumer such as a floor lamp. If the consumer is to be switched on or off directly on site, this can be done using the integrated button on the front of the switch socket. Within the Homematic IP room climate solution, the adapter plug works perfectly with the Homematic IP wall thermostat. If an electric heater is used, the switchable socket can be used to precisely control the room temperature.
The integrated measuring device determines the energy consumption in the range between 0 and 3680 watts. It offers a measurement resolution in 0.01 watt steps and a maximum measurement deviation of +/- 0.03 watt. Thanks to the high measuring accuracy, even the smallest consumers and the standby consumption of electrical devices can be conveniently monitored via app. The determined total energy consumption is also clearly displayed in the Homematic IP app.
Despite the high switching capacity of up to 3680 watts, the compact adapter plug does not block any surrounding sockets. Thanks to the low standby power consumption of less than 0.3 watts, the adapter plug can remain in the socket without hesitation.

The HMIP-PSM-2 integrates into the Homematic IP system with smart heating thermostats & co. and requires their base. The socket displays solar data separately and, since an update, it also saves the measured values in the app.
